Girl Scouts of America is moving in a different direction than boyscouts are and it is AWESOME. Girls are now being taught that they are strong and independent and that they are their own people. They are being taught to stand up for and take care of themselves. Is that really so bad? I can’t WAIT until cookie season this year. It will probably be the first time that I have actually agreed to purchase cookies from the Girl Scouts. And I honestly cannot wait.

My CLEP exam asked me for my gender. It only listed two options.

The very last question on the test was about the difference between sex and gender.

REALLY?! REALLY?!

You expect me to tell you that there are only two sexes and that sex is biological but that gender has more than those choices and is a personally identified thing…but then you ask me for my gender and only give me male and female as choices?!

Maybe I’m alone. Maybe most people don’t care that much.

But I really, really do.
