Girl Scouts of America is moving in a different direction than boyscouts are and it is AWESOME. Girls are now being taught that they are strong and independent and that they are their own people. They are being taught to stand up for and take care of themselves. Is that really so bad? I can’t WAIT until cookie season this year. It will probably be the first time that I have actually agreed to purchase cookies from the Girl Scouts. And I honestly cannot wait.

The kids & I were able to take a picture at the NOH8 Campaign booth, something I’ve been wanting to do since they first began. Unfortunately my boyfriend Mark had work so we couldn’t take a complete family picture, but the photoshoots often come around to LA so there’s always next time. I got a couple compliments on the nails, even from NOH8’s photographer Adam Bouska :) I love his work! But I think the ones who were catching everyone’s attention were the kids with their NOH8 temporary tattoos on their cheeks! :P I loved that we were able to go & show our support. Like I wrote on my personal blog, marriage should not be defined by race, religion, social status, gender, etc. Love is love & marriage should be equal.
